What is Cushing’s Disease:
Cushing’s disease in dogs and cats is a diagnosis of a weakened pituitary or adrenal gland and adrenal gland tumors are responsible for 20% of the diagonises. Both the pituitary and the adrenal glands are responsible for the production of corticosteroid hormones which are responsible for the functioning of every tissue and organ in the bodies of cats and dogs. Cushing’s disease in dogs and cats results when the pituitary and the adrenal glands are compromised and too much of a hormone is produced.
For these reasons it is essential that your pet’s immune system, and pituitary and adrenal functioning are strengthened. Cushex drops can do this naturally and without side effects.
Symptoms:
Cushing’s disease is found more commonly in dogs that in cats. (Interestingly, 80% of cats that suffer from Cushing’s Disease also have diabetes). Typically middle-aged dogs around ages 7 or 8 contract Cushing’s Disease. The disease can last anywhere from 2 to 14 years. Here’s what to watch for in both cats and dogs:
• Hair loss
• Increased water consumption and urination
• An increase in appetite
• An enlarged abdomen
• Increased panting
• Thin skin which may be slow to heal when wounded.
